  Description: Low impact suitable for all levels of practitioners, including those in physical therapy. The warm up includes Sun Salutations (version C) which heats up the body's cardiovascular system while stretching and warming up the muscles to prevent injury. There are 12 basic asanas (postures) and a final relaxation to complete the class. The focus is on mastering the basic asanas from which variations are then added to further deepen the practice. The asanas follow an exact order that allows for the systematic movement of every major part of the body in a balanced way that enhances energy, while increasing strength by holding the posture, allowing the muscle to lengthen and strengthen. Adaptive postures are added to prevent injury and/or challenge the practitioner.
